Due West, S.C. – As part of the Homecoming Celebration last Saturday, the Erskine women’s tennis team received their championship rings for winning the 2011-2012 Conference Carolinas Regular Season and Tournament Championship during half-time of the women’s soccer game.

It was the Fleet’s eighth consecutive tournament championship and their seventh regular season championship in the last eight years.

Last season Coach Calhoun Parr’s squad was a perfect 14-0 in conference and 23-4 overall.  The Fleet earned the program’s first-ever victory over a Top 10 ranked opponent, defeating Clayton State 7-2, as well as their highest seeding in the NCAA regional tournament at #4.

Last year’s team members are Corin Hallman, Tessa Rheault, Abby O’Reilly, Mika Goyette, Victoria Stephens, Nikki Miller, and April Horne.
