Due West, S.C. – During halftime of the women’s basketball game last Saturday, the Erskine women’s tennis team received their 2011-2012 championship banner for winning both the conference regular season and tournament titles and advancing the NCAA Southeast Regional Tournament.

The Flying Fleet won the conference tournament for the 8^th consecutive year while it was the 7^th conference regular season title in 8 years.

Coach Calhoun Parr’s squad went 23-4 last season, including a perfect 14-0 in conference play.  The Fleet defeated their first Top 10 ranked opponent, topping Clayton State 7 to 2 and earned their highest seeding to date in the NCAA regional tournament at #4.

Last year’s team members were:  Mika Goyette, Corin Hallman, April Horne, Nikki Miller, Abby O’Reilly, Tessa Rheault, and Victoria Stephens.
