Due West, SC – Just hours after being named Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week, Heath Gray (Greer, SC, Byrnes HS) was named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week.

Heath got his senior season started off in outstanding fashion, throwing back-to-back complete game shut outs. In his first start of the year, he allowed just four hits and struck out four in the Fleet's 1-0 series-clinching win against Wingate. He followed that start with his second straight complete game as Erskine defeated Stillman 1-0. He struck out seven, while allowing just three hits and retiring the last nine batters he faced.  Dating back to last season, he has thrown three complete game shutouts in his last four appearances. On the year, Heath is 2-0 with 11 strike outs in 14 innings and opponents are hitting just.149 against him.
