Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Tennis Teams placed four student-athletes on the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference Team according to a recent release by the conference office.
The Erskine women’s tennis team placed three players on the team while the men’s tennis team was represented by junior
Jack West (Belton, SC, Emerald High School). For West, it is his first time to receive the honor.
For the ladies, seniors
Abby O'Reilly (Acworth, GA, Harrison High School) and
Victoria Stephens (Cumming, GA, South Forsyth High School) were named for the second time while junior
Corin Hallman (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) also earned the honor.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must play on an institution’s varsity sport, be a junior or senior in academic standing, and have earned at least a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Each year the Academic All-Conference Team is released while closing out each regular season before starting the tournament championships. Erskine College will host the 2013 Conference Carolinas Tennis Championships at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, SC. The championship will begin Friday, April 19 and will conclude Sunday, April 21. The top eight men’s and women’s teams qualify for the tournament based on regular season finish. Conference Carolinas championship winners will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.
