Hallman named Women's Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year

Due West, S.C. – In a recent announcement by the conference office, Erskine’s Corin Hallman was selected as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Scholar Athlete of the Year.

The Scholar Athlete Award is presented each year at the conclusion of each conference sport’s season.  To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior in academic standing, have earned at least a 3.25 grade points on a 4.0 scale at a member institution, and been voted to one of the all-conference teams by the league’s head coaches.  The conference’s student-athlete affairs committee selects the recipient for each respective sport.

Hallman, a business major with a 3.7 grade point average, is the reigning Conference Player of Year after going a perfect 10-0 in conference play this season.  Overall Hallman led the Flying Fleet with a 17-3 record from her #1 singles position.  For her career, she is a 3-time 1st Team All-Conference honoree and a former Freshman Player of the Year.
