Box Score Due West, S.C. – With their heralded offense in high gear, the #2 seed Erskine Flying Fleet (20-6) raced past #7 seed Barton College Bulldogs (13-18) 3 to 0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-13) tonight in the quarterfinal round of the Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Championship Tournament at Belk Arena.
 
Led by their pair of outside hitters Mike Michelau (Trevor, WI, Westosha Central High School) and Roberto Perez (Dorado, P.R., Bayamon Military Academy), the Fleet outhit the Bulldogs .452 to .083.  Perez blasted 15 kills while Michelau had 13 kills.  Michelau also had a game-high 7 digs on defense.
 
The Bulldogs were led by Pierre Tang-Taye's 9 kills.
 
Erskine will face #3 seed Mount Olive on Tuesday in the semi-final round.  Mount Olive defeated #6 seed Belmont Abbey 3 to 0 tonight to advance.
