Due West, SC – Erskine shot 52.8% from the field in the second half to pull away from first place Belmont Abbey 86-67 Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action.
Erskine was 14-27 from the floor in the second half (51.9%) and hit 17-18 (94.4%) free throws to help take down the top team in the conference.
The Fleet had four players in double-digits, led by
Ashley Espinosa and
Kristin Giles who each had a game high 22 points.
Raygon Hendrix added 14 points and eight assists, while
Christian Brown scored 12. Espinosa led Erskine with nine rebounds and
Kimberly Smalls pulled down eight.
