Terrell Pinson

Pinson enters 2026 in his first season with the Fleet, where he will serve as the Running Backs Coach and an Assistant Strength Coach. He heads into his fourth season of coaching, most recently at A.H Parker Highschool in Birmingham, where Pinson helped the team to 6A State title  and coached the top-ranked cornerback in the nation, Na'eem Offord.

Pinson began his coaching career at Corinth High School (Mississippi) and then spent his second season at Virginia University, and he has served as the cornerbacks coach for all three schools.

Pinson played at junior college Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi, where he was a 2nd-Team All-American, recording 6 interceptions in just 9 games played. He signed to West Virginia from there, before eventually transferring to Louisiana Tech University.

With Louisiana Tech, Pinson was tabbed a 2nd-Team All-Conference performer in 2014 after totaling four interceptions that season. His production helped him be named a candidate for the Bronco Nagurski Award, given to the best defensive player in college football. Pinson helped lead the Bulldogs to a Heart of Dallas Bowl victory over Illinois and won an ESPN Helmet Sticker presented by Lou Holtz. His play caught the attention of Skip Holtz (“He is a difference maker. Terrell Pinson came out and had the game of his life. He batted down two more passes and almost had a third interception. Enough cannot be written about Terrell Pinson and the game he played today”) and Todd McShay (“Terrell Pinson has emerged as a big time playmaker this year”).

Pinson was picked up by the Oakland Raiders in 2015, and he also spent two years in the CFL with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2016 and 2017.

Pinson is the son to Phillip & Jackie, and he has three sisters named Sherri, Tasha, and Wanda. He also has one daughter, named Skylar.

A native of Tupelo Mississippi, Pinson graduated from Arkansas State University in 2021 with a degree in Political Science, and he is currently getting his Master's in Special Education, with an expected graduation in 2026.
